The Runaway Train celebrates the Windsor Hill railway path, with a rugged trail race and a feast in Shepton Mallet market place. The event is brought to you by the local organisations listed below.
Profits from the event are donated to the local community groups who support the event.

Mendip Hills Hash House Harriers
A social trail running group who follow a four mile route, set in flour, from a different Mendip pub, every Monday night.

Freinds of Windsor Hill
A group of hardy volunteers, who over many years have cleared overgrown vegetation from the line and established the railway path from Ham Woods, trhough Windsor Hill tunnel to Bath Road viaduct.
Pilton Cider
Shepton Mallet based cider-maker, who will be running a cider bar in the market place after the race.
